Best wireless for bass?

Did not know that about the transmitter frequencies in the US.
And I've used it live allot, never had any problems with the frequency response (neither did a professional bass and double bass player i know)

Hmmm...given that a low E is 41.2 Hz, the A is 55 Hz, the D is 73.42 Hz and that the published specs says it only goes down to 80 Hz, that wireless shouldn't reproduce bass very well at all. But, if it achieves what you need it to then that's all that matters :bassist:

FWIW, the Line 6 G series extends below what you'd actually need at 10Hz. Additionally, being a digital system, there is no companding (compressing and expanding) of the signal as is with the Freeport and its analog UHF platform.

Prior to switching to my G30, I used a Shure U4S system that if bought new then was around $1400 I believe - so a good quality system that was used by a lot of pro touring acts (that or the U4D). I only switched from that unit because it operated in part of the frequency range that was reallocated and no longer available for wireless use. I was amazed at how much better the Line 6 sounded compared to the expensive Shure unit. Made me a believer. As always, YMMV.

I realize it's just piling on, but I've got a G50 (the middle of the Line 6 products) and it's just stupid good. I went with the 50 because of the metal housing for the transmitter - it seemed to be more durable than the plastic, and if I can figure out a way to break something, I will. It's been rock solid for me.

Got a 50 today

Works great with a down tuned 5 string bass

The battery door and other stuff is better than the 30 they had in the store . . . However I used my buddy's 30 and it works great

:( I dropped the transmitter on hardwood floor and it suffered no damage. :)

I normally love Line 6 products- but - I got the Line 6 G30... and it Cuts out intermittently... thought it was battery issues at first but have not been able to resolve. Spend the money buy something better - am going to try the Sure GLX-D14 - will let you know....

I've been using a G30 for years now, bought shortly after they came out. The only times I've had issues with it were in heavily congested wifi areas.

Appreciate it Bardolphus, that may be case where we gig, but it happens at where we practice too(Rural area in a Barn/Garage loft away from any houses). Are you using a special type of Battery? Did you find a sweet spot on the channel selection? Like I said, love line 6 stuff, but this unit has not lasted through 1 complete session.
