My GC (Iowa), wouldn't go below $999 for the SVT Classic unless they could locate a store that has one for the $749 price or sold one at that price.

Can anyone please share the city and state that you scored a SVT for $749? I'm going to try to get them to sell me one at that price tomorrow.

Hey,

Thanks for the info on the SVT Classic. The manager wasn't happy with me, but they sold me an SVT Classic for $799. they wouldn't do the $749 price even though I insisted. I ended up paying a little extra but I new that the demo was just put out on the floor only 2 weeks ago, so its basically new.

Fellas, this is for real. I just got the floor SVT Classic in Charlotte for $750. I had to go up the chain of command a bit and be patient but firm, but in the end it worked.

I got a MINT G&L ASAT semi-hollow bass for $650, with OHSC. apparently it had been on the used rack for over a year...though i had never seen it there before, and they had marked it down from $900 to $650. i believe that is the only significant purchase i have made there, other than a used SWR henry 8x8 for ~$450 that i had to return due to a faulty speaker and got a goliath instead.

Went to the GC in Atlanta today and to pickup some small things. Nothing good on the "Deals" side. It was actually really bad...I purchased a Pedulla Thunderbolt 5 from the GC in San Francisco about a month ago and had it shipped to me. I thought it was a really good deal until I decided to adjust the truss rod...I remove the cover and the nut on the truss rod is stripped. I call Mike Pedulla...$550 to fix it. No thanks. So, I return it to the GC in Atlanta and tell them about the problem with it. When I was in there today, there it was on the wall...for $100 more than I paid for it.

Nice! I hate GC
