Bi Amp or not?

Recently I was told to use a biamp setup for what i want. I use an Eden WT400 and a Fender '68 Bassman I like both the Eden for my clean and the bassman for the grunge break up tone. I was playing the bassman through a marshall 1960a guitar amp...Which i've heard isn't a good idea (playing bass through guitar speakers that is)

But when TBers told me to biamp they told me to take the lows out of the bassman, by using the tone knob or an outboard crossover.

if i take the lows out of my bassman could i play through the marshall (a guitar cab)?
