BIG BANG!!

I never cared for any of the MB heads except the F1, which later became the F500. Ever try that one ? If I remember right, the Big Bang replaced the F500.
The F500 was the first class D Markbass head that I owned. It was less powerful than my LM3 evidenced by it tripping out on a couple of gigs at high volume. The concentric EQ controls were impossible to read on stage even when my eyes were 10 years younger. The current 500 watt Markbass LM3 or BB (at $499) would be my choice without hesitation.

So, I used it for the 1st time at an outdoor gig last Sunday. Cabinets used were 121HR and 102P so getting all 500 watts. The BIG BANG was just that. Plenty of power, paired very nicely with my P Basses. Excellent articulation, tight bottom, warm, mid presence to cut in the mix. Very little tonal adjustment required to get my sound. And this amp ran cool although literally sitting in the sun. It was very "LittleMark like" with perhaps a bit more midrange meat that was very satisfying. I'm very happy with the BIG BANG and it has become my #1 amp.

When your LM4 arrives it'll be very interesting to hear which you prefer the sound of and the slightly different feature set? To be honest, I'd be quite happy to only use any one of my Markbass heads until it fails, then move on to the next.
