Did you try them stacked or side by side?

I've been negligent in posting again. I dropped off one of Mike's basses last week and got to hear the new MAS110. It is the 110 sub with the custom 10 and two faital 4's in a mwv enclosure on top with a compression driver firing in the vortex. I have an MAS 109 and compared to this with the smaller enclosure the low end has more punch in the 110. There is no comparison in the mids. The new cab not only has mids that seem as strong or stronger than the flex, but the dispersion is insane. With the other MAS cabs you can hear up to about 1500hz. standing next to or on top of the cabs, this thing sounds crisp and clear behind the cab. Standing right in front of the cab or to the side the fidelity is amazing. Anyone want an MAS 109?
I'm not 100% positive, but I think that the new 110 is the smaller enclosure from the sub with the new custom driver from the MAS 109 (and the mids, etc., as you described them). If I find out otherwise, I'll post a correction, here. In any case, Mike said the 109 (slightly bigger cab) went a little deeper, but the 110 was punchier. I haven't played one yet, but I hope to, sometime.

Side by side. The brown note.

I'd be interested to know how clear they are stacked side by side, and how that compares to vertical stacking, etc. Side by side could be more convenient in some cases (or more secure on an "active" stage). Also interested in how they do on the floor vs. elevated.

EDIT: Phone-typos.

So, basically the bass side of a pair is the same as the 210 Flex?

Well, I think the "woofer part" of the box is the same, but I'm not sure that the driver is. I thought Mike said that it was the new 10" he had made by Eminence and used in the MAS 109, not the 3010 LF, but I'm starting to doubt my recollection of the conversation, now. I'll see what I can find out -- or perhaps @radbass will know (or get a chance to talk to Mike first).

As usual, Mike develops these faster than mere mortals can keep up with. :) After I experienced the physicality of the original 112, I thought it would kill with the mid section of the Flex. Boom, it's real.
I don't think he has built one yet, but I am pretty sure its in the works.

I know i prefer the lows and low mids of my 112 with the eminence to those of my old flex, but I think my 210 Flex predated the custom eminence 10. If the custom 10 has the added warmth and fullness of the custom 12..... then I am sure it sounds fabulous.

Okay, apparently I have misunderstood your previous post...

As cool as these new developments are, I probably won't be changing my setup. I'm perfectly content with everything I hear from my Flex 110 (apparently discontinued) and sub. Another bonus is that the Flex cabs are wide enough to sit my tube amps on with no 'overhang'.

So I will just say that when Mike works with Eminence etc and gets a woofer he wants the deal is best. I still love my 4x8 that was built on a OEM spec woofer x 4 and an array of tweets. No mids. That box kills for any big indoor or outdoor without support. But it is heavy. I am just playing small venues recently and would love the new 110. But I am downsized in gear and need to sell 1 before I buy again.
