The B28 will probably help to stem the flow of tears.

As a 109 to B28 guy myself, I'll tell you the tears are well staunched.
There's a party in my sound!
Ya know, coyoteboy's got my old MA109 too. I think he may be up to something. He should probably have some adult supervision (which means I'm not qualified).

The B28 was the game changer for me.
I really liked the MAS109 but when I gigged it alone I missed the *something extra* that the Flex Top provided. So I usually wound up bringing both, which defeated the goodness of the MAS109 as a standalone cab. Great cab, but the standard of comparison was another MAS cab
The B28 brings that *something extra*. In a wee little package. With more volume and more lows. GAS inducing indeed!
Ah, that's right -- you've got the guitar-modded 26! I bet that sounds great/would sound great with a little tube amp (and would free me from the very directional and piercing treble I am sometimes exposed to from guitar amps -- or poor monitor mixes, but that's another matter).
Since you've got a B28, I'll ask you the same question I've asked of @J.Wolf and @golfnsubie in the NCD - MAS (Michael Arnopol Soundworks) 1,8 thread: Have you been running it elevated? on the floor? on a Gramma pad/wedge/similar? I know you're digging it, but I am trying to triangulate what it's like to play the cab on the floor vs. elevated, both in terms of tonal balance and monitoring up close (I know that @Kirk Bryant is curious about this, too). I'd be curious as to your impressions of it vs. the Flex (forgive me if you've already stated those), as well. Thanks in advance for any insights shared!The B28 was the game changer for me.

Hmm. Dunno. I guess I would try both and see! The first way appeals more to the part of me that wants things tidy and symmetrical, but my favorite way, sonically, to run my MAS 110 sub and Hathor 1203 is with the sub horizontal on the ground and the cab vertical atop it (inverted T) and angled back a bit (just the Hathor) on an Ampwedge. Different cabs, I know -- and they work well together in other orientations -- but that setup gives me the best combination of juicy-but-articulate low end and overall clarity. They're a nicely synergistic pair and running with the sub somehow enhances the clarity and dispersion of the Hathor out in the house -- not what you'd expect from a sub, but I've found that to be the case.
But, yeah, I'd try it both ways and see!
Having one elevated and one on thr floor gives the advantages of both yeah? Is why i like the 16 stack so much
I would run them stood up and slightly toed in. The would also do well stacked horizontally.

Quick-ish "getting ready for work" answer.
I put the B28 on a small folding stepstool. Raises it about 10" from the ground. It's convenient for me, also, because it puts the amp up where I can reach it more easily
It sounds killer in that position. I haven't tried doing a direct comparison of "on the ground vs. raised" because raised works so well.
I'm going to lose my "gear geek" card by admitting this but I haven't AB'd the FlexTop and the B28 directly. The FlexTop is put away, at least for now.
There is almost certainly some difference in the voicing, and of course the Flex has the built-in voicing flexibility because of the switches. The similarities are greater than the differences - both have that "body moving" visceral low end (and in that I'm comparing the B28 with the full Flex210) and 3D sound quality. Both have wonderful mids, I suspect that the mid voicing would be one noticeable difference but I can't tell you what it is (or would be) since I haven't AB'd them.
I guess that one could call the B28 a "Honey I shrunk the Flex" cab.

I still say it seems the perfect gig cab to my mind (too bad I don't 'gig' anymore!). I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I do plan on elevating my Bodai cabs. I had hours and hours of enjoyment with my 110 Flex+sub and the double-Flex stack was amazing, but I prefer the Bodai configuration with the tweeter firing into the waveguide.

I'm going to go on record saying the best way to play your b28 cab is by placing it on an 18 or mas28 cab lol....all joking aside though when you put the 18 under the b28 it is pure awesome and when I have the amp to do it with a simple setup I will be doing that anywhere where volume might be up some...it's visceral at mid volume...the cabs just wake up even more(hard to believe I know for current b28 owners)

Ha! If my little blues band ever gets a stadium job, I will put the MAS 28 on top of the 48 and power it with the Superbassman LOL. Are the new 28 cabs 4 ohms standard?
Forgot i put the hemp speakers in the 26. Lol
