The B28 was the game changer for me.
I really liked the MAS109 but when I gigged it alone I missed the *something extra* that the Flex Top provided. So I usually wound up bringing both, which defeated the goodness of the MAS109 as a standalone cab. Great cab, but the standard of comparison was another MAS cab
The B28 brings that *something extra*. In a wee little package. With more volume and more lows. GAS inducing indeed!

As previously mentioned, in the right room, the MA109 was the best upright cab I've ever tried in 30 years. Slab was good also. The main reason for the B28 is more headroom and that amazing up high mid-section. I backed a fairly loud 5 piece blues band with the 109 no problem, and had to push it right next to the limit a few times. Pretty sure the B28 will solve the headroom deal. Planning to get it up off the ground/stage for sure! Which folding folding stepstool do you prefer? I seem to not have luck finding one...

Are those MAS or MA 109's? I thought the MA's only had one mid.

They are MA109's to the beet of my knowledge. One is the original prototype that used to be pictured on the site, the other a production model recently aquired.

Do you use them together? If so, how do you orient them? The reason I ask is that I have "Kesslari's" MAS 109 and might have an opportunity to buy another. So far, one 109 has
been great ,but 2 out of the 7 rooms I've played with it, I was pushing it.

Good luck with your gig. Please tell us which way you oriented the cabs( together-toe in, vertical, or up side down T.) I've been using my Genzler Magellan 800 with the MAS109
and that cab is eating those 400 watts(8ohms).

It sounds like there are three plugged in. Im definitely doing the inv. T thing for the gig. Maybe having the driver and vents of the bottom speaker against the floor is helping the low freqs, sure sounds thst way.

I ran a MAS109 with 110 sub like that (inverted T) and it just slammed. How does the cab sound pair with that PJB head?

The inverted T with that 110 sub is the shizzle dizzle for ANY cab.

I really like this head with these and the 16's. Whisper quiet, no bad sounds, plenty of power. Natural un-hyped kind of sound

What head/amp were you using(J.Wolf). My MAS109 eats the power of my Genzler Magellan(400@8ohms.) That amp is very powerful through my MG212T, Genz Benz 212T,
fEARful 1212/66(all 4 ohms), and even my 8 ohm Markbass RJ151. That's why I'm looking to double up the 109's or possibly just get the MAS112 or Bodai 112. The additional 109 would be the least expensive by far.

Just want to sing the praises of the two 1,8s I have been using over the past few weeks. After all this discussion of the B28 might be looking to add one of those in the future.
