I read about someone mounting one of those big Whirlwind EQ pedals on a mic/music stand or something similar, here. If you like your setup except for the "floor" part, that might be a possibility. Good luck with your recovery by the way.

Yeah, I'm psyched, too.

One of the joints we work regularly (great staff, the house regulars have really gotten to like us) has seriously bad acoustics at the low end. It's a 50 x 50 box with a 12' ceiling, _all_ reflective surfaces. My best guess is that there's some nasty comb filtering going on, because I just can't get any whomp going at all in there--sounds like a miniature gymnasium. So you know what that means: guitar is mean and gnarly and the bass is wimpy.

Thinking that the decorrelation thing Duke described earlier might help...gonna find out when the MAS112 is in my hot little hands...

Another thing I like about my MAS112 is its versatility. I asked for a mid shut off switch, and for a blues and reggae feel, that does wonders. The 18Sound woofer goes up just to the right point all by itself. I can see why Mike offers the "Essential" version. Or should I say "I can hear why".

No doubt about that! And it is so easy to carry, and move around. With the side handles, I really can easily carry it like a suitcase when I don't want to roll it. Ergonomics are the new buzzword for cabs nowadays since most of us are old grizzled guys with bad backs.

OK, here's the Big E GC25C and RachE. Shown with optional blurry woofer. She's a mastiff, for size comparison. BigE/MAS 210 FlexMod in background. Life is very, very good. I haven't enjoyed listening to music this much in a long, long time.

Glad you like it. That's the newest GC and it's the best by far. That's also the newer bigger sub, the one with a speaker, not the fur.

Me too, as far as fun listening. I've played every conceivable genre and quality of recording and nothing sounds bad. In LA today and going to Amoeba. I've burned out every piece of music I have on these.
