That's interesting, I'll have to try that. Having a polemount option for the flex mod would be kind of sweet as well. I'm unsure if the Puma is the best matchup for the flex, will have to do more playing around with it on the gig.

Again though, with my experiences with the Demeter preamps, I can imagine that the flex sounds fantastic with the Demeter head.

I would be interested in the HBP 1–800 but the minnie power section doesn't really interest me all that much. Can't imagine dropping coin like that if it wasn't for either the 1000w ICE or the Hypex module.

The sonic farm was pretty glorious, I'd love to pick up one of those if I had the bread right now

The Demeter sound really full and complete with the flex 210. Makes me giggle when I play and hear those notes bloom wherever I tweak the EQ contingent to which bass I play.

I'm so impatient for Sonic Farm to come out with the full amplifier that I might just buy one of the DI Box/ Preamp (2di4). The tonal balance is SO perfect on that and with the bass and treble boost on board (and with the East preamp on my bass) I really didn't have any need for additional eq to be honest. And with upright the Fishman Dual Parametric gave me whatever additional eq I needed for upright (and I use it with any amp I'm using anyway). I have two small amps built on the Ice modules--so I'm set. After using the Sonic Farm I'm spoiled. The only other amp that comes close is Jonathan's---similar quality---different vibe.

We talked to Mike Arnopol who suggested we work on a bass amp. This will happen down the road, but is not one of our priority projects time-wise. Yes, the input circuit would be the same as the one in 2DI4.​

Yeah, most of us ordinary humans will have to 'make due' with the Puma 900 as our 1U power source.

I'm just happy that I don't have to drag around electonics (pre, power, head, etc) that's anywhere from 65~85lbs anymore. And not only schlep it, but cling & jerk it atop a full stack. That's why I love technology. Sav'n backs for a millenia! Someone posted a while back about why many bassists are huge guys, well a-duh.....but no more. Now, that skinny guy can get into the club.

So glad that the majority of you are dealing with ala carte amplification choices.

Even with Glockenklang, Aguilar, Warwick, Matchless, and Mesa amps in house I cannot even tolerate plugging into my MAS 112 Signature due to uncontrolled buzzing.

It appears that cables routed through panels are exciting vibrations. In all fairness Mike is aware and working on it as I have second MAS 112 Signature awaiting it's grill before it ships.

Seriously jealous of those that got one that was flawless out of the box.

I have every confidence that Mike will make it right but wanted to share that the leading bleeding edge can have a dark side.

Hey, MrBEAR--

Sounds like there's a bug in yours; it's not an inherent design problem, IOW.

I hadn't run mine at full power yet, so I just now went and did it. I've got an SPL meter, so I cranked the amp until the level was over 100dB; stopped there because I was afraid the pictures were gonna fall off the walls, and the books were gonna walk off the shelves.

Everything in the room was rattling, but I didn't hear rattles from the cab.

(Jeez, Aloise...this thing sounds fantastic for slap, BTW.)

Hey Ewo,

Had a long chat with Mike.
He tamed the F# offending resonance in my second cab and is working on the full grill now. Appears to have a singing quality manifested by being full vs. bikini.
Possibly needs to be of a sturdier gauge for full vs. bikini.

Still even though there is an issue the revelatory presentation is undeniably.

Leading edge bleeding edge.
Oh when will I learn?

When it stops being fun.

I changed where I was routing wires on that cab. (and subsequent cabs) I've found that I have to fill holes where wires come through. I haven't had this issue with any of my other cabs but the stupid 112 hammers soooooo hard that all bets are off. This technology is very new and really unprecedented as far as cab design. Then throw into the mix a woofer that has impact that I've never experienced before. I have had some buzzing issues. Things that were a non-issue on other models .One was on my first one.The other was this cab. Out of about a dozen 112's out there.I figured it out on both. On Mr. Bear's cab I made a change in the vortex that yielded a more powerful low end impact. Problem is that it makes me be even crazier as far as wire routing and other stuff. I literally put hot melt glue all over many crossover components and wiring junctions in the cab. I make small improvements all the time to various models rather than just sitting on something "that works" . Not the smartest business model--but that's how I do it.

You guys have to realize----these cabs will likely never be available as a mass produced cab. There's not enough profit. My margins are pretty low but as I believe that this technology offers benefits that I've never experienced before---I'm committed to get these out to bass players. And I'm doing this all by myself. And playing 4 to 6 gigs a week. Not looking for a pity party but sometimes I do get discouraged. I NEVER rest as far as improving the designs. And sometimes there are unforeseen issues that pop up. And I deal with them. And my cabs get better and better as a result.

Sometimes I do get a bit bummed when I'll talk to someone on the phone and they'll tell me all the amazing things the cabs do---and they don't mention that stuff in the thread.But a buzz does get mentioned. And that's cool---there have been no issues with any of my cabs that I haven't been able to deal with---and not just being able to fix a problem, but understanding more and more about how to utilize and move forward with this nifty technology.

Sorry about my mini-rant--I'm just pretty spent and have another 4 hours of cabinet work to attend to.
