Big pick

I find myself unable to use a regular-sized pick, it keeps sliding out of my fingers.

Have any of you ever tried using these kind of picks:

How did you like them?

I started off with those but then changed to normal sized picks. It's an individual thing so you might like them, try them out. I bet you can get a couple of different ones for like a dollar.

i play dunlop nylon .88s. they have little dots on them, it's kind of textured to prevent slipping. they work pretty good for me. i am accident prone and ham fisted though, might work better for others.

those picks the op mentioned might work even better since it has 3 playing surfaces. if it slips, just play the other side!

Check out the Striker XXL from Gravity Picks - there's the option to have a hole in the middle for extra grip.

I use the big Clayton Acetal picks, they are amazing. Good tone, easy to grip, don't get slick with sweat.

Dunlop has some picks shaped like those.

Tortex triangle brand -- purple (1.14mm), blue (1.0mm), and/or green (.88mm). They have additional gauge sizes as well.

You might want to try their Max-Grip Nylon Standard brand -- black (1.0mm), dark gray (.88mm), and light gray (.73mm). More sizes available. As already mentioned, they have a cross-hatch design on them and are less likely to slip out of your hand. They aren't bad. I hold a pick between my thumb and index and middle fingers. This is one standard size pick that I feel comfortable using.

One more…Dunlop's Big Stubby Nylon is a standard pick but bulkier (1.0, 2.0, & 3.0 mm). I don't use it as often as the other two Dunlop styles, but it does come in handy every now and then.

Exactly the same for me. When I use one, which is not very often, I use this same brand and size for the reasons cited above. Try them, you won't be disappointed.

I use a 3mm Big Stubby or a 1.5mm Stubby Triangle.

Those are similar to the "Dorito-shaped" picks Billy Sheehan uses. I use 'em when I can find 'em. Otherwise, I use those picks that's called "Gator Grip". I think Dunlop might make 'em.

Not an endorser or anything, just a big fan and will be buying picks from Vinnie as long as he keeps making them. He makes a shape to fit pretty much any style and sound, the acrylic has a really unique feel to it.

I use a 1.5mm Dunlop Stubby Triangle. Works great, doesn't slip. Just my $0.02.

In the rare event I use a pick, I usually go for Dunlop Stubbies.
