Birdsong Club Pt 2

Anyone seen the singlecut Birdsong on E-Bay ? Sweet bass. Scott said it's one of one. Man I'm tempted.

I made an offer a couple hundred bucks lower and they declined it...I'm GASing hard for that bass, I might pull the trigger.

Looks like my old eclipse Hy5 is up for sale in the classifieds. With added Delano soap bars. It's a really great bass if anyone is looking for a Hy 5. Beatlebass, is that going to be your first Birdsong with an Xtender pickup? Curious to hear a sound clip!

Someday I would like a hy5...but my eaglet has been serving me very well these past 6 months and my shoulders and back have been happier. Just paired it with a 4 lb head and 24 lb (maybe?) cabinet, gigs are much more fun now! Especially the next day.

Hello Birdsong fans!

If you read the weekly updates on the Birdsong website you may already be aware that Scott has designed a new instrument. I contacted him and the new model is going to be a semi-hollow/hollow body build! I made a post that explains what little I know about the bass, but I am in line for #001! No word yet on when it will be available on the website, but Scott said it is ok to talk about it and that it is not a secret.

Scott is building me a Cbass. Will probably see it around November or December this year. I called him up and asked if he was ever going to build the Cbass again and he said he never stopped building them and all I had to do was ask. He explained to me that the website just can't show everything, so just ask.

I tried a Fender Mustang but I just couldn't get used to the neck. I find the Birdsong neck the best. It feels like an old friend in my hands, so I am getting a P-Bass sound in a birdsong bass. What could be better?

Hey Birdsong owners - give me some honestly biased opinions on the short bass. I haven't logged here for a couple of years (I think, looks like I got an Old School trophy straight away ) and have veered away from the bass world more towards guitar and short scale basses. I have an Ibanez SRC6 which I like, but I think I could upgrade.. I did some googling, found the Birdsong site which I'd forgotten and alas - I'm back here again.

I really dig the sound of the short bass in the videos Scott made with them, but Youtube being what it is could someone give me a verification how well the sound comes through in those? Because if they really sound that nice I think I'll have to send some mail to Texas.. I was surprised how defined they sound, with the PU being in the neck position and all. No mud, and I like the simplicity of them.

Thanks.
