Go talk to your high school guidance counselor. He (or she) will have a wide variety of resources for you to look at. The guidance counselor will be able to help develop a plan for researching, evaluating and applying to business schools in your area.

Good Luck!

The first reply sounded harsh, but learning to use spell-check will be useful.

Guidance counselors don't always have the best answers b/c many try to push students into certain schools so that the high school can claim they have X # of students at certain prestigious schools.

For business schools, I would suggest contacting business professionals and getting suggestions from them as to where to go. They hire people and have a lot of insight as to the different schools. You may find that some don't prefer the "prestigious" schools and may know of a good program that doesn't cost too much.

Start by contacting your local chamber of commerce for some leads on local business leaders.

Also, what area of business are you interested? Economics, accounting, finance, business information, marketing, etc.

...You're 14. Shouldn't getting through high school with decent grades and possibly dating around some be your biggest concerns at this point? I mean, I commend you for thinking ahead, but seriously... Why don't you just try being a teenager for a while, THEN worry about yer schoolin'...

Business is large topic and range of study.

Accounting, Operations Management, Logistics, Information Systems, Marketing, Research & Development, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Enterprise Management, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Law & Ethics, Economics, and many more areas of study are what constitute "business".

As Freddels said, talk to people in the fields you would like to pursue. Also get to know the individual disciplines within business. A school that is good for accounting may not be good for marketing.

Explore. You're young, and that is what you should do. You may find that business is not for you, and that is OK. You may find that it is for you, and that's OK too. What's not OK is pursuing a field with no idea what it entails or what the outcome will be.

But in the end, successful business people are created in the marketplace, not the classroom.

If you want to get into a good school you need to be focusing on grades, extra-curricular activities and standardized test scores. At 14, I imagine that you have your PSAT coming up soon. Scoring well on that is the first step to getting noticed by schools.

Instead of targeting a specific school, try to make yourself a more appealing candidate for colleges in general. It's nice to have options.

+1. True. Here's a good collage in the meantime.
