I had contemplated building a Jazz finished in Champagne Sparkle just like what is on some of the old drumsets.
I think I might revisit that particular idea.
Next time a disclaimer to dim the lights before viewing pictures would be nice. . .![]()
I'm using that same bridge on a Precision Bass and it is a really decent bridgemore done : routed to set the bridge-plate flush. It was 1/8" thick so I figured lowering it would be a nice integration with the body. The neck sits a little lower in the body due to a thinner profile, (typical J is 1 3/4" and this one is 1.5") and so the whole playing area will be 1/8" lower. The pu cavities are plenty deep enough to set pu height optimally. I'm not a slapper/popper so I'm kinda' diggin' it low and streamline.
