If I'm not mistaken, you mentioned earlier on your post that you got the buckeye burl from Cook woods.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost?
Do they offer bookmatching service?

Just asking for my future reference.

I think it was $70, but it was during one of their weekly sales, so it's usually a bit more than that. They don't do bookmatching unfortunately, and you have to look at the descriptions to see if it's kiln dried, air dried, or still wet. Mine was not kiln dried, but they say buckeye burl dries relatively quickly and since it's only top thickness, I went for it and it worked out fine.

There's lots of odd shapes that they sell, but they put the dimensions in the description and usually take pictures of both sides and sometimes close ups if they want to point out something.

You can sign up for their e-mail list and you'll end up with 2 emails a week for their sales, tempting you to buy all the wood in the world. :D The problem with the sales though, is they don't take individual pictures of the sale items, but they do for the non-sale items, if you browse by species, instead of going to the instrument section.

I just e-mailed their customer service and told them what I was looking for and showed them pictures of some buckeye burl basses I liked and asked if there were any in the sale that looked similar and were within certain dimensions and they picked out that piece for me and it was even better than I was hoping for. They have awesome customer service.
