Hello, I have a Peavey Max 115 amp. I've had it for about a year. Today, when I started practicing, everytime I hit the strings somewhat hard, the speaker would make a farting sound. I' not sure whether or not this is a blown speaker, but I felt I should come here before going to the shop. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Turn the amp down. Does it still do it? You may be pushing it too hard, with gain and eq, and it may have hurt the speaker.
Thanks for the help. I noodled around with it, and the problem went away, I will keep fiddling with until it stays that way. Thanks again.
