Now this is definitely in the "unique" category. Very interesting.

A bit rich for my taste (and pocketbook) but a very different and unique instrument. You can see some more pics on the Ebay auction.

It's unique. The carving and inlay work is beautiful, but I don't buy instruments as art. That's just me. I've seen my fair share of luthier made instruments that were high on decoration and such, but didn't have much in the tone department, or the attention to detail where it really counts, and the playability was no better than most budget guitars. I have never played a Blueberry, so I can't say if they are fantastic or craptastic. It is 'purty', and I'll give it that.

I can't see the original listing as its no longer there, but i'm pretty sure I bought that bass about 10 years ago, unless they made more than one? maybe. Some of the assumptions made weren't all that far off the mark, the decorative carving and inlay work is amazing, the frets a little sharp on the edges they could have been finished a bit smoother, it doesn't have the deep glossy glassy finish of a high production guitar but then it is possibly a one off and hand made. It plays and sounds amazing, it even has in built overdrive on the volume pull switch which gives you the instant growl Stranglers sound. The main reason I bought it was that the Celtic Wolf design was the logo of the band I was in at the time so it was as if someone had custom made it for me. It was up for sale for a couple of year in excess of £3500, I kept making lower offers and eventually I got it for a more reasonable price. I'm no longer in that band so would sell the bass on if anyone was interested.
