Hadn't heard the real version in years.

Fantastic bass lines and phenomenal tone.

One of the few things I remember was where I heard "I dont know" for the first time. The first song I made the effort to learn note for note. The first time I noticed other bands not doing it note for note and being offened that they didnt. Now I'm setting up in a Moose Lodge and playing everything from AC/DC to Willie Nelson. "I Dont know" is in the third set. Thanks Bob! There are still people that know exactly who to thank for the music.

Hi Bill, That's not distortion, it's a Gibson EB3 through one of Randy's Marshalls. The 'growl' is characteristic of the EB3. 'Glad that you like it. Cheers, Bob.

Well, it took me too long to realize Bob Daisley's the man behind the basslines on Crazy Train, Bark at the Moon, Gates of Babylon, Man on the Silver Mountain, Over the Hills and Far Away... so many rock and metal standards with absolutely killer basslines.

My hat's off to you, Sir. Time for me to go back and learn how to play proper bass.

hey, 7 pages of this thread already and no mention of Khavas Jute??? Or did I miss it?

I actually stumbled across this disc by accident (I liked the cover). Great Australian guitar-driven prog band circa 1970. Great big slabs of agile, crunchy bass (sounds like an EB3 to me). I love this record; wish there were more of this around.

Nothing but Love and Respect for the man! I didnt realize it till years after i started playing, but he was and is the biggest on my playing. I am always telling people (younger kids) to check out his work. Tight, In the pocket and melodic as anything.
