Discussion in 'Bassists [BG]' started by The Golden Boy, Jul 9, 2004.

  1. Does anyone know of Bob Thomson formerly of Big Drill Car? What he's doing now or anything?

    That BDC stuff was phenomenal!

I exchanged e-mails with Bob late last year, after I saw an ad he posted online to sell one of his old custom Warwicks. He said he's no longer playing full-time, just doing some stuff locally, mostly so he can spend time at home with his son.
It was real cool to hear back from him, he was and is one of my biggest influences. Not only his playing with BDC, but also the album he did with Xtra Large. It's called "Now I Eat Them", came out around 1992. Find it if you can, it's pretty eclectic and Bob's playing is great as usual.
