Bob's wall of SVT and more

Thankfully, since you have them organised in a nice, tidy fashion, no one can accuse you of being a hoarder! LOL

Seriously, the ONLY reason I am almost (note- said ALMOST) envious of you is that while I'm good with an 810 (love mine and would be buried in it if they could only fit me through the speaker holes! Ew...), I have reluctantly decided that I couldn't do an SVT head; it's just too heavy for my already strained back (load in/out of the 810 with the dolly setup isn't an issue)... ARG!

I was encouraged to start a thread here about some of the stuff I have. So I'll start with the SVT's. I have been playing through these amps since the late 70's and wouldn't consider anything else. I have many more than are pictured here (and other stuff) but I thought it might be fun to let you guys know that there is someone out there that still goes through the trouble to actually USE these great amps.

What??? No V-4B bottoms? The old 2-15 reflex enclosure? Seriously, that's a real nice collection Bob.

Hey everyone- please be careful. This "SVT Bob" hasn't been vetted yet. He may be a time traveler who found a glitch in the Matrix and went back and scooped up all these great original issue amps - just like all of us have contemplated doing (if we had a Musical Hot Tub Time Machine that is...)

Please refer to the OP's '69 NAMM and "Message Board" comments as evidence.

But seriously, welcome to TB, and thanks for sharing this amazing collection! Whatever you do - don't hook them all up at once! A great existential disturbance in The Force (via TalkBass) could occur!

I just bought a new Ampeg myself. Here it is:

No kidding. The little guy really rocks the Classic Ampeg sound!
