It was a 71' with 2 cabs that had been sitting in a high school band room. It was too big for them to move and they wanted to get rid of it. I didn't have the money to buy it so i traded the band director a 71' Mustang Mach I for it. I still have that amp.

I never owned a Kustom but remember when they were all the rage, bands would have all Kustoms amps, was a fashion statement. I did see a band once in which the bass player had a 3 x 15" Kustom cab with their biggest head (100 or 200 watts I believe), he used a Fender V, first and only one I've ever seen in the wild, this was in 1969, the amp was very distorted but the guy was so good I didn't care, he played the bass solo in Vanilla Fudge's Take Me For a Little While to a T which floored me as a kid of 16 and which I still think it really good bass playing. My first good amp was a blackface Dual Showman I bought used in 1970, next amp was a Marshall Major with two Sunn 2000S cabs, that thing shook the walls in every club I played, bought my first SVT in 1976, was a very early blueline, looked just like yours hardwired speaker cable Rotron fan etc except it had 6550's in it along with a square back cab. I'm the guy with the two Magnavox heads that I posted a day or two ago, also have two square back cabs with what looks like original speakers, I've never pulled them so I don't know and I also don't know the year either but the speaker are all identical in both cabs.

Amp is a Matamp GT200 MKI
Cabs were custom made, based on the Matamp 2x15 but more heavy duty wood and extra bracing. Loaded with Legend CB158s and about 100lbs each. Unfortunately I'm in the process of selling the cabs, due to several knee and achillies injuries, they are just too cumbersome for me to handle on my own. Brow is gone, Mono is still looking for a new home.

SVT Bob - be advised that in accordance with Intergalactic Council law resolution 6514, which was started after that whole Death Star-Alderaan mess, that it would be a major infraction to ever hook all those amps up at once. For the good of the lovely little planet Earth that you call home, please think of the children of the space travelers who won't be able to abduct and probe you earthlings for their grade school science projects if you atomize the place.

What about my Ampeg SVP 1500 watt power amp (with SVP CL pre)?
Also have an SVT-CL
This should be 6 SVT's (although probably not a winning number in this contest!)

First guy that says tube power is greater than SS power is wrong.

I believe the Intergalactic Law Council has revised their calculations and thrown out resolution 6514 and has now calculated resolution 6515, they now advise that if all those SVT's were hooked up and used simultaneously they wouldn't atomize the earth they just would just change it's orbit around the sun, it has been estimated that the year would increase to 730 days. It has also been estimated that if the first note played was an E (even though we all learned here that SVT cabs cannot reproduce low E:laugh:) that the E would have the maximum effect, on both it's orbit and also it's revolutions, it would slow down the day from 24 hrs to 48 hrs, also the vibrations would also shake the earth so violently that the earth would shrink and it's mass correspondingly would increase, depending on how long the E was played it could even turn into a black hole. Proceed at your own (and our) risk.

I'll tell you what I'm going to do... I'll find a place and date to set it all up. I could do a minimum of 8 heads and 8 cabs (maybe more) and make a YouTube video of it. And just so, the stage doesn't flip over from all the weight on one side, we'll put the Marshall's on the other side. How's that sound?
