Boneheaded Moves You Hate To Admit

I'm speechless, ALL of those are yours ? Wow. *** kind of bugs are they in the last pic. Bet they make a nice crunch when you step on 'em :D

The Leduc isn't mine, I no longer have the Smith, Surine, Stambaugh fretless w/Lane Poor pickup nor the Elrick Platinum Hybrid 5 and I have a few new ones since that pic. I'm feeling the need to thin the herd;).

The bugs are Cicadas. Very cool.

Cicadas do have a very nice crunch to them.

Anyways, I know that this isn't totally the most bass related, but since our computers are part of our arsenal in our musical careers these days, I thought that this was slightly appropriate....

One of my roommates was up all night (last monday, 10/25) studying for Music History test. He was so tired the next day that he was loading his van (for class) with his guitars and his new (2 weeks old) 17inch G4 p'werbook. Went in the house for a second with the guitars in the back of the van, but his laptop bag was just leaning against the van. He backs out and totally runs over his laptop and gets it wedged up in the wheel-well so bad that he actually had to run back over it it to release it.

... after all of his studying and staying up all night, he still scored a 49 on that test.

This isn't to do with basses, but with strings.

Me = Idiot. I was measuring how much string to cut off at the tuner end and I measured 10cm from the end of the string instead of from the tuner :/. Now the string just goes up to the tuner. Whenever I try to tune it up the string pops out of the hole in the middle of the post. TIs too, my first set. Oh well. On the brighter side, the other three strings sound great :p.

There's a very simple fix for this...

buy another bass. A shorter one;)

I can top y'all -

My first bass was a $100 pBass imitaty. I put real nice *gold* schaller machine heads on it. I had a custom face plate made up. I put a beautiful *gold* Kahler Tremelo bridge on it.

It was still a piece of shtuff. What a waste of $$$... I sold it to my friend for peanuts.

He sold it for like $10 to a bar in Rockville MD as a decoration...

I was in the same bar (didn't know he had sold it) and saw what could ONLY be my ol' first axe!! I was stunned! No doubt about it! *That* is (was) my bass!

Here's the real bonehead part!

I didn't buy it back for the $5 just for the parts! :crying:

thats actually why I wish I still drank. Without the alkeehawl, I don't even got the balls to "make an ass out myself" like that, even when I really should :hiding: . And plus, if you admit feelings for someone whil your'e drunk, and they don't really feel the same way back, you can simply say you were just ****-faced and didn't mean it.

i love to drink.. xcept last weekend some bastard (or bastardette) put something on my drink. How do i know? simple: i drank 3 vodkas. Was ok before number 3. On 3, i couldnt finish and had to be carried out of the bar. Thats what i get for leaving my drink unattended. live and learn huh?
