It's an incredible cabinet. It's sensitive enough that it sounds great with my 50W Ampeg PF-50t. If you zoom in, I'm not even halfway up and it sounded great. Admittedly, this was just in a practice, but I got a lot of compliments on the tone. Also works well with my Fusion 800 head and the Subway 800+. Even the MB Nano sounds good through this cab. If you're familiar with the Tank 1215, this is similar to the 1215, but punchier due to the 2x10s and it has a bit more upper mids than the 1215. Since it's 3-4 inches taller than the 1215, it gets a little deeper too.
BoomBass probably has a stereotype of being a slap / urban type of cab and it does that well, no doubt. But it also sounds great as a more vintage voiced cab using my 50W tube head and the more vintage voiced Subway 800+. And it's probably not surprising that it sounds great in a lot of different situations - it's basically a 2x10 and 1x15 in a single cab. That combo has been used many times over. The cab is sealed, so while I'm not a fridge expert, you can get that vibe from this cab. I'd love to try an SVT head with it sometime.
It sounds great when you can crank it, but it also sounds sweet when you have the volume down or with a lower wattage head. I haven't been using effects as much lately, so I can't really talk about how it sounds with chorus or distortion, but again, it's a 2x10 and 1x15 - it's probably going to sound great.
