Bootsy Collins 5 pickup bass question.

This one, if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Yeah, he's got 5 jazz pickups, so my question is, how many of those are neck pups, or bridge pups, or are they made specifically for that bass?

I ask, one, just out of curiosity, and two, because I'm currently building a bass modeled loosely off of the old Silvertones, and to keep with the Silvertone spirit, I want to put 4 Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder J-Bass pickups on it. I love the sound of those pickups, and they have those big magnets, so I think they'll look great. I'm guessing it would still sound okay with two neck pups and two bridge pups, what do y'all think. I'm positive I'll need wiring help on this damn thing, but that's for a later date.

Thanks for the help, Derrick.
