2 of my all time favorite albums . The impact of these albums is a major reason of why in play bass guitar .
My 2 main basses remind me of the album covers and the tuxedos Michael wore on each cover. I’ve named them accordingly .

In that time frame (& still), I liked the J5, The Jacksons, & Heatwave. Rod Temperton is a big factor on those MJ albums. IIRC, not so much on Bad...and it showed.

I detest Girlfriend enough that I burned a new CD of Off The Wall from my original and omitted it - that's the one that gets played
Girlfriend is the weakest track on the album and odd singles choice, but on an album like Off The Wall being the weak link is still something!
As soon as you hear Wings recording it’s hard to imagine anyone singing it other than McCartney. Even though he wrote it for Michael it’s just start to end pure McCartney and just not an MJ track

It’s the imitators who more often than not annoy the bajeebus out of me.
