Boss Flanger power-on setting

Odd question here. I have a BF-3 flanger that defaults to the on setting when it's powered up. All of my other Boss pedals are off by default. Otherwise, everything works perfectly with the flanger.

Has anyone encountered this? Is this some secret setting I can change, or just a glitchy pedal?

my oc2 acts funny too. with a battery in, it actually powers up the rest of the pedals which are daisy-chained together with it.

weeeeeirrrddd
That is weird, and probably a fault with the DC socket itself (it should have a mechanical switch that disconnects the battery when you insert a plug). You want to be careful of that because it could also mean that a power supply connected to that pedal will be attempting to "charge" the battery - which is dangerous for non-rechargeable batteries.

My BF-2 does it... Should I be worried that I'm the only one?
