Thanks!. I'm very happy with it. Got a few more observations and thoughts about the GTCore.
- The tuner is awesome, solid as a rock
- Roland/Boss support is great. They get back to you in 48 hrs.
- Haven't used the GTCore screen once, done all patch creations in the Tone Studio. Still a bit sluggish on some things.
- Some of the guitar dirt effects sound good on bass.
- I like the 4x12 cab effect on fuzz. Haven't tried 3rd party IR's yet, but will do.
- It feels quick, not feeling much latency, not fighting against it when play fast passages.
- The higher tones are very glassy sounding. I prefer passing the signal through the Q/Strip for some analog character. I'm hearing a difference.
- I'm liking the Bass Compressor, use it before an overdrive and the sound is gradual, after overdrive it has a smoothing effect. Can setting it for an open tone, or squash the hell out of it.
- There's so much gain you push this thing into a wall of noise. Good for Shoegazing!!
- I use headphones for creating patches. I'm finding some horrible clipping noises in the level settings of effects. got to make sure you don't push those too far.
- I used HPF 40hz and LPF 3.15Khz on the Master EQ.
- I'm thinking you could put the Bass Amps and Dirt effects into a 200 series pedal.
These are splendid! There's a tiny bit of that digital high end in a lot of the tones but I'm sure you can tweak it away with the IR if anything. It seems digital is finally hitting the mark even for dirt
