It’s a really great and affordable way to explore a lot of effects and combinations. I’d recommend going to the Boss Tone Studio website and downloading the software to your laptop or pc. You can preview the different download patches available. I found 5 or 6 of them better than the pre programmed ones. I now have them and about the same number of my own patches saved. Really easy to do, you just drag them across to your user patches in the software with the pedal plugged in. There are YouTube guides but it’s simple to use.Woo hoo! Just pulled the trigger on this!
AMS zero interest for 8 months. I got the Boss adapter just to be safe.
I will post again after I get it. It is slated to arrive Thursday!
Yes, software is a must have. Well organized and easy to use, it can work parralel to DAW on the same PC and the same USB cable, so you can record, edit, loop etc. at the same time. It’s a really great and affordable way to explore a lot of effects and combinations. Just thought of another question: Are y'all using the Invalid Link RemovedInvalid Link Removed or will an aftermarket A/C adapter be sufficient?
I am just about to pull the trigger. I already have an analog boss board but rather than add more pedals to it I am thinking of getting this unit. Question...are the pre-programmed patches editable as well for tweaking? If you make changes will it save on the pre-programmed patch or do you have to use a user patch address to save any edits to the stock patches?
Just wanted to make sure that when I made adjustments they could be saved in the factory patch and not have to take up a user slot. Thank you.Yes, but I found the patches to be very poor so adjustment will be needed

So if I make a tweak say to the OD level in a preset patch it won’t save there for next time? You get P for preset and U for user. You modify the U01 and on.

I have only just begun to play around with it and it is freaking GREAT!!!
Thanks to everyone on this thread for putting me onto this! I can't wait to learn all that it can do!
The thing with the presets seems to be that they exist to show the possibilities available. They’re not subtle. I don’t use a single one of them apart from the simple fretless on occasion.Amazing!
Have fun with it! If you need anything just say it, glad to help! Don't rely too much on default presets, some are garbage and don't do justice to the real power of gt1b.
Have a nice day,!
Yeah I know that. But at first glance one could say "this thing sucks" lol...anyway some presets are really good "simple fretless" is great, "atmosphere" is a good one also..The thing with the presets seems to be that they exist to show the possibilities available. Yeah, I got mine used for 100€, people give up too easy, you have to open a manual, read a bitOn the other hand, I bought a spotless used GT-1B for $125 from Guitar Center, so maybe I should be happy someone traded it in.
