Boss GT-1B finally here

I'm gonna buy one as soon as it comes in the store here.
I got the guitar version and its incredibly good. Good sound an easy to use, if you are prepared.
I've used it live and find it difficult to use when you want to change settings. Screen is too small.
If you've set up everything hundred percent in advance it works perfect for me. It hasn't replaced my pedelboard yet.
For home practice or playing alone it really shines. I love it for that. And I can try every boss pedals that exists.
I expect the bass version is similar.
I love being able to leave the amp off, plug in headphones and connect my iPhone into the aux in while Spotify streams backing tracks. Keeps the wife and kids asleep
So I just picked up a Boss GT1B and I wanted to throw my 2 cents in here. First some context:
I am a professional bassist with a few artist endorsement deals. I have been playing for about 32 years. My primary basses are Fender USA Jazz Basses (2 Custom Shop, Adam Clayton Sig and 2 American Pro). I use Ashdown ABM 500 EVO heads (UK) and Ashdown ABM UK cabs. My board consisted of: Keeley Bassist, Way Huge Pork Loin, Darkglass B3K, Line 6 G70 Relay, CAL Holy Fire.
Whoopty Freakin' Doo! I simply wanted to stress the point that I am a professional and very discriminating with my gear.
So....I absolutely LOVE the GT1B! I actually am currently running the Line 6 G70 Wireless into it and then I am using the Boss FS6 for expanding functionality. EVERYTHING else on my board has been replaced. Having said this....again some context about how I am using it:
Essentially I went in and created a clean patch and saved it User1. This is essentially my tone as if it were going straight from the Line 6 to the amp. Next I set up the FS6 to scroll my presets up and down as opposed to the up and down control buttons on the GT1B. Why? Well because I can now assign those 2 extra buttons as FX control buttons. Yes....it works great. This allows me to be able to toggle on and off up to 3 effects. (So whomever said you can't use this as 3 stomp boxes....WRONG). Next I set up the Limiter and assigned it to one control button. I'm basically using mild compression and can now toggle that on and off via foot switch 1. I then set up some tube drive and assigned it to controller 2 so I can toggle that on and off as well. Last I set up an eq that drops some treble and boosts some bass and assigned that to control 3. That became my overall clean setting. So in other words when I select User1 patch it comes up with my clean signal. I can then toggle on or off: Limiter/Comp, EQ and OD. (You can assign them in any order etc..You can also default so that all 3 or any combo are on or off when you select the patch)
So for my uses I then set up another series of patches. User 2 has the Comp always on and I set up 3 mod effects (Phase, Chorus and Octave) assigned to the 3 controllers. and so on and so on.
THIS THING IS LIMITLESS for how you want to set it up. More importantly, I found that there are TONS of useful great sounding effects. I had no problem tweaking out about 4-5 OD's, a couple of distortions, a couple of Fuzzes, a couple of Octave settings, Chorus, Flange and Phase. I don't use Reverb, Delay or Synth for anything so I'm not going to comment on that. I also don't use the preset patches at all, so no comment there. Bottom line is that this IS pro level, highly tweakable, easy to use, etc...
I have used the Zoom (Both the old and new version) and hated both. I also used the Line 6 Helix LT and really dug it but found it was overkill and that the Line 6 drives kinda lacked.
Anyways....SERIOUSLY impressed. GREAT tool for only $200! I spent another $50 on the FS6 and $10 on a TRS cable and I am set. Haven't even begun to play with amp modeling, looping etc....because I don't need that stuff....but It's there if I change my mind!

I'm looking for a decent heavy bass fuzz(or OD) and would like to get a Fuzzrocious Deamon or something similar, it's just that for a bit more money there's a full package of preamps and effects(including fuzz) to be found in this little multi-fx-pedal.
So how does it compare to the proper bass fuzz pedals?

I just got mine. I love a bit more the overdrive from my Green Rhino, and still gassing for a Idiotbox Blower Distortion, but to use in a live context, the drives in the GT-1B are good enough IMHO.
I've had mine for a few weeks now and used it on a couple gigs. Works great. I programmed a small group of User patches and installed the downloadable ones the first day I had it. I'm currently out of the country, but when I get back I'm going to get serious with programming via Tone Studio. Very pleased so far.
GT-1B incoming, had the guitar version GT-1 for a while, but it is being sold off and I will crack into the GT-1B to see what it beholds.
Started working on the GT-1BFxFloorBoard editor, an alternative to Tone Studio,
which will allow you to load and convert your favourite GT-6B and GT-10B patches (and the guitar GT variants too) into the GT-1B.

I sold all my pedals a couple years ago to simplify life. Just kept a compressor and tuner. Recently my band decided to play One of these days by Floyd. Damn, I needed effects. This pedal has worked out great. The delay and tremolo got me what I needed. It covers me with the compressor and tuner also. So.... I'm back to a pedal, but not a pedalboard.
I always wanted a looper, just to play a riff to loop through my amp while I eq. Works great for that. I need to spend more time with it, and haven't played with all the preamps/amp sims yet so I don't know the quality of those sounds. I like having the expression pedal too.
The software works great also. I prefer working on the pc vs in the pedal. It's pretty simple, and you can drag and drop your presets into any order (like a setlist). I used to have a Zoom MS-60B, and it was a nightmare to program. Not intuitive at all. The boss is much much easier. Very happy with mine. Haven't played out with it yet.

How are you able to do that given that those are four separate effects and there are only two concurrent FX to choose from?
P.S. Thanks for the tip on the clean patch! I've been simply using the tuner with bypass to get the clean sound (plus a little bonus light show), this is way handier.
P.P.S. for others: if you're like me and have a Behringer AB200 laying around from years ago, it works just like FS-6 with the GT-1B.
