Depends what you're looking for I guess.

If you can do without the B6 synths (the m90 has 2 waves, but they are more limited in features than the ones on the B6), prefer dials over a touch screen and care not for the ability to mix and match whatever effect you please, then perhaps.

Then again, from what I've heard so far, the m90 doesn't sound any better or worse than my B6. They're also about the same size and both run fine from my powerbank. Had this been released before I bought my B6, I might have been tempted to buy one. But I see no reason to drop my B6 really. I like the m-90 (been looking for the older version for ages till I got my B6) but I currently have no need for 2 multi-pedals. But, as with everything YMMV.

I currently have a zoom b6 but years ago I used the boss me 50b with which I was very happy but which unfortunately I then sold...more than anything it's a question that the boss is more suited to me but I was curious to know the differences in terms of quality ..in some respects I prefer boss to zoom..but I'm waiting for some more feedback, thank you very much

Are the amp models the same in this ME90B as in the GT1000? And what about the effects? I am not talking about additional effects or amps, but I mean the ones with the same names as in the GT1000.

Did the algos of the amp models and effects improve or are they exactly the same as in the GT1000?

The GT-1000 has limited bass amp models compared to the ME-90B. Natural, X- Drive, and Concert.

From just the effects list, the ME-90B looks closer to the GT-1B amp selection, but AIRD.

Haven't heard any amp demos yet.

I think the underlying AIRD technology is the same between the ME 90B and GT 1000/Core preamp models. But there’s far less functionality (parameter settings) in the ME 90B preamps by quite a lot. It goes the same as all the other effects. Probably sharing the same DNA but not versatility and functionality. ME 90B is barebones basic, which I’d say a lot of people would enjoy. With the GT 1000/Core, you can process your signal to within an inch of its life.

One thing the 90 has over the GT1000 is an envelope filter. The GT only has autowah and touch wah both are really mediocre. So my guess is that the 90 can get a better envelope filter sound. Or maybe they just renamed touch wah envelope filter now?

ok so we have an envelope filter in the ME90B that the GT1000 doesn't have. Great!

Really wondering what the difference between touch wah and envelope filter is soundwise though. Maybe some video demos will shed a light on this?

but i meant the preamps themselves, not so much the editing granularity.

GT-1000 only has THREE bass preamps that i can tell.

The ME-90B has 14 unique preamp models - all AIRD.

My hope is the ME-90B preamp models are incorporated in a GT-1000 refresh - overdue IMO.

There are these system-settings:

1- No audio is output when you’re using the tuner.
2- The direct sound is output while you’re using the tuner

I am assuming 2 (direct) means bypassing the effects?

From what I gather from the parapeter guide, the tuner stays on as long as you don't press a pedal. So it's not 'always on'. Unless you only use 1 preset of course. If not, then you'll have to re-enable it after every preset switch. In manual mode, that's not going to work well. But you there is a setting to either mute the device or not while the tuner's active. So if you do choose to re-activate the tuner after each switch, it won't interfere with your playing.
