I have a MIJ octaver and a later MIJ octave, but only the octaver powers up like the OP is saying. I used to have a MIT octave that didn't and my OC-3 doesn't either.

Hmm, my oc-2 (taiwan) doesn't. I do remember first one I had doing that...
Once read once the only diffeance in the MIJ vs tai oc2s' is the power supply that may explain it.
Mine is a MIT OC-2. Not a big deal, just out of the four pedals I have this is the only one that turns on by it's self when I power up my board.

My Boss Flanger does this. Kind of annoying, but no biggie in the big picture of things.
I keep mine in a loop. No problem. Unless I hit the meatbox on that's in the same loop![]()
