Any tips on selling an ultra rare bottle would be appreciated.
I've seen the normal bottling at Total Wines for about 550 and I've got one of the very few special bottlings of it from 2012 that I keep holding onto in hopes of figuring out the best way to market it.

Be careful. Lots of scams and scammers out there. You could start with finding a reseller you like, then checking in to see if they are buying anything.
There are forums like this one for bourbon drinkers, some members here know about them, but like how it is here, they operate on trust between members. If you showed up there offering something for sale, it's gonna take a minute for folks to establish that trust.

Would be great to just have a place I could bring it to and get it auctioned off or something of the like.
I suppose I should try asking about it in the scotch thread since it's actually a Japanese whisky descended from the scotch flavor profile lineage.
Very good stuff and back in 2012 they made a very limited run of non-chill filtered bottles for Japanese release alone, and after a couple months of trying to order one, I finally walked into a store and found their last bottle of it.

The legalities of reselling alcohol make auctioning it a challenge. There are shops around the country that are secondary market sellers. Check online, maybe there is one close to you. The online stores, the legit ones, will pay you and have someone come pick it up.
As a start for something local, go to a liquor store in your town and ask around. They usually know the secondary market buyers. I used to be a buyer (personal quest for a specific bottle, not professionally), so most every liquor store 50-60 miles around my house had my phone number.

A friend recently gifted me a bottle of Eagle Rare 10, and for my somewhat limited palate, it’s really good stuff. I’m more of a cocktail drinker than drinking a spirit neat, but this one is really nice on its own. Looking forward to sipping on it as the weather cools down.

Yep. Eagle Rare is one of my favorites.

It's the last of it. Calumet 18. She was a good bottle. Not worth the price but some of the best bourbon I've ever had. Easily a $300 bottle but stretchin' it with the msrp.

Took a little tour of Buffalo Trace earlier this week. A little embarrassed to admit that while I've been a Kentucky Colonel & a resident of The Commonwealth since 1990 this was my 1st time on The Bourbon Trail.

And finally, the haul. It was rare to have all 4 allocation offerings available all at once.

I find bourbon too sweet, personally. I'm not a fan of any I've tried, so this thread gives me some ideas on where to look.

That 21 is something special. I did a blind with it, the 12 year, and an 18yr I have. The 21 was a standout! It's pricey, but every now and then I find it on sale around $180, and I snag a bottle.

I'd be snagging bottles at $180 per also. My bottle has a nice cherry vanilla with all that beautiful, sweet oak.
