Boutique Short Scale Options?

I know Kiesel does the Vader on a 30" scale, not really my cup of tea but that doesn't mean much. Kiesel doesn't get near enough credit for his quality

They offer a lot of options that are not on the website so there may be some other models too

+1 on Serek. Jake is wonderful to work with and builds truly killer stuff... sounds great, feels fantastic.

Serek Midwestern. Great builds, amazing feel to them. He does the whole nine yards too, with some fantastic in house pickups, like the B90. A true craftsman. I don't know how long his business will stay small-scale but grab em now while you can!

I'm still leaning towards this one! Waiting for him to reply to my inquiry about if he will do a Midwestern with a Bisonic and B90 or only for the M2's. ;)

I don't see any reason why he wouldn't although you'd have to pay for it. Jake is super-accommodating to the customer's ideas... and is also a great resource as to what works.

You've proposed a nice pickup combo. I can personally vouch that one's a good'n. :D

I'm not a short scale guy. My short scale is a highly modded Steinberger Spirit, which plays like a short scale but is actually a 34" scale. But I wouldn't like it if I hadn't modded it. It's my token 5-string, since I'm not a 5-string guy either. Of all the videos I've watched of actual short scales, I really dig that G&L Fallout. It's got a Leo Fender MFD humbucker on it and a switch like the one on my G&L Kiloton that'll damn near make it stand on its head. One pickup...3 distinct sounds. Here's a link to the Fallout. I think it's worth checking out. They also make a Tribute model of this from Indonesia...exact same pickup made in the USA.

Just adding up the Acononyx from Nordstrand.

That was going to be my suggestion, but I see the OP is uninterested. I have one on order and can't freeeeeeeeeking wait. I check out lots of vids on lots of shorscales and the cat bass did me in.

But back to busieness:

This is my #1 player now and my top suggestion....

Mine is blue, but this one looks cooler :) :

My second suggestion would be this, which I also have, but I'm much more a Stingray guy. This bass is capable of lots though, and feels awesome.
