My band "Duh Jokers", it's not just a clever name, it's a disclaimer. We practice spring and summer at our drummers house. When football season hits fall/winter, we are evicted. The drummer's wife is a rabid football fan and doesn't want us ruining her NFL Sunday, the day we practice. I picked up the slack last year, bought a Behringer PMX2000 powered mixer (I Know,I Know) & a pair of JBL TR105 plus all the other stuff, mics, stands and what not. So we moved to my house till spring.
I live within a half a mile of I-75 a very busy highway. Here is the problem, at least once a practice, the PA starts picking up truckers on their CB radios. I'm sure that they are running illegal high powered units, but nothing I can do about that. So my question is, what's causing this, and how I can correct this? It's not the mics or the cables, does it when they are off and unplugged.
Any help with this would be most appreciated.
