No you're right. It was first for his treatments, but then when he thought that he wasn't going to be around for long he wanted the money to take care of his family. Then it because greed. I remember the scene where they were sitting in either a car or the RV talking about what he'd need to make, but I don't remember the episode.
None... No one knew were the money was... He got his separate stash... He ran, other guy vanished... Done...

I thought the original target amount Walter had in mind was like $73k or something. I must be lowballing that because that isn't enough to raise the kids and pay for college.
I wish Jesse would've flicked his Bic while he was getting dragged from under the car. Half the Neos would've been toasted.

College, pay off the house, enough $ to live on for the next 40-50 years, etc.
I still think Walt entered the biz in order to provide for his family...in spite of efforts to morph it into a US Heath Care issue. Sorry.

#6 Can't believe I missed that.
This is one of those shows that you want to watch again and again to see what you missed, because you probably missed more than you think.
I almost had a panic attack watching the last episode.
From the point where Skylar starts telling Walt Jr everything up until Walts phonecall to Skylar... man!
After being told everything about his dad and what he does, Jr knows that Pops is the bad guy.
Personally, I think Jesse is going to make it out of all this.
I cant say the same for Walt (though I guess it could happen)
This didn't surprise me at all. It's a son's instinct to protect his mother and that's exactly what he was doing. I've never been a Walt Jr. fan (I have CP myself and the way they made him into kind of a fragile useless character (though that was the point) kind of irked me) but I loved it when he tackled Walt.
It's one thing I like about the series, there are no likable characters.
Well, that's not true, there is one likeable, recurring character. Holly. Every other character is an A-hole.
I think it's interesting that you never see the face of Saul's "guy", that picks up Walt at the end.
To be fair, CP is a pretty broad ranging condition and I've seen many who were worse off than Walt Jr's portrayal.
Something else which is interesting, RJ Mitte (actor who portrays Walt Jr.), actually has CP, though apparently his is less disabling than the character plays.

Yes, as I said I have CP myself so I more than understand that. But what I meant was that as someone who has it, it made his character harder to get into. Maybe because I don't like seeing my own symptoms so it brought up that insecurity. Though I do think that him having to increase his speech impediment made his character more difficult to listen to at times and I don't really understand why they had to have him play his speech down in that way. The crutches I understand because it's a visual reminder of his disability, but the speech I think was unnecessary. He already has a slight drawl to the way he talks because of the CP and I don't think it was necessary to amplify it.

Mitte has a relatively mild form of CP and had to learn to slur his speech and use crutches for the role. In reality he continues therapy to overcome the mild symptoms he actually experiences.
He is an actor, he does work with a coach.
From what I've read in interviews with him, when he admits to having to regress it's not that the character caused him to actually hinder his own progress. It's just that he had to do things that he didn't do naturally in order to make the character look a certain way. For example he doesn't walk with crutches in real life and he doesn't walk on his toes the way he does on the show. So it was difficult for him to start doing that again and make it look convincing. It's not that it caused his walking in real life to become stunted as a result of it.
I don't think Walt Jr. is necessarily an a-hole. He just acts like every other teenager with his parents, and sympathizes with Walt when Skyler starts to shut Walt out (unknowing the real reason, of course). I really like Walt Jr. as a character, he is the only character that you can really sympathize with. Hank is kind of a dick with his sense of justice, and near the end you can kind of sympathize with Jesse, but it's his own fault for being in the position he's in. Walt Jr. and Holly represent the ultimate in collateral damage should anything happen to them, since neither of them had any knowledge of Walt's true identity throughout the series, and had no control over the looming danger over them.
