I kind of hope he comes back for one more year. He needs to pad his stats a bit more so they are unreachable. Three hundred and fifteen INT's are not enough, lol.
When the chips are down, when you NEED the RIGHT choice, the right play, the right throw....don't count on Brent, he will make the WRONG one almost without fail.
I've already mentioned it, with citations, in THIS post.
He walks away, again, having thrown an INT in the worst possible moment, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, at a critical moment (THIS ISN'T DETROIT!!! THIS IS THE SUPER BOWL!!!), yet again.

The guy has won more games and thrown more TD passes than any other QB to play in the NFL. Come on with this onslaught of how much you hate the guy all day long.

2004: INT in OT to lose to Eagles
2007: INT in OT to lose to Giants
2010: INT on potential game-winning drive at end of 4th, leads to OT loss to Saints
In each case, the throw was ill-conceived, a BAD throw that should never have been made.
He's a great athlete, but a less than stellar thinker. He's also a self-aggrandizing media whore.

I wasn't ignoring it any more than you were ignoring what he has accomplished on the field. By reading your posts yesterday, someone who didn't know better would think Favre was terrible.
Then saying he can be counted on to fail more than succeed in pressure situations??? That is just ridiculous. Yeah, yeah...post up some more YouTube videos of interceptions by the Saints, whatever.

Mike, Mike, Mike...didn't you read the rest of the post? He's a CHOKE ARTIST, he's cost two different teams losses in playoff games, a minimum of 3 times, due to his inability to THINK and make a correct read. He thinks his gunslinger arm will get him out of trouble, and in the end it does the precise opposite.
I make no bones about it: as a person I DETEST the guy - he really is the horses ass I have labeled him; as an athlete, he has incredible physical skills, but lacks the necessary attendant MENTAL aptitude to be one of the truly "great" players, IMO.
And, just because I love being a jerk about it, here's another funny:
If I were a betting man, I'd put good money on him coming back again, even after all this clamor. I promise you he did this intentionally, with the full desire to get his name back on the front page of every sports section in the country.
Sadly, it worked.
Oh come on Gard. He made a mistake and handed your Saints the NFCCG, you should be thankful to the guy. Especially when he continued to play after cheap shots from the defense to get him out of the game.
In my opinion, he has done more good for his teams than bad. Sure, post up your videos of the mistakes. Brees has thrown 110 INT's himself and surely a handful cost his teams a victory. I won't go dig those up as I feel he also has done more good on the field than bad.
BTW....I think he will come back too. As far as I know, Favre has not said he is retiring, this is just all speculation and rumor at the moment.

Now you're sounding like the typical whiny-@$$ Whinequeen fan...hey, remember football, it's a CONTACT SPORT...he walks on the field, they have every right to HIT HIM AS HARD AS THEY CAN ON EVERY DAMN PLAY....

:scowl:I can note just as many that went the other way, if you'd like. How about Jared Allen hitting Brees after a throw, then tucking his foot under his arm and walking away, dragging Brees, face down, across the turf - right in front of a ref who does nothing?
Calls get missed, both ways. Part of the game.
Just like QB's getting hit HARD as they're releasing a pass.

As for "handing the Saints" anything - how about the fact that the Saint defense was playing hard, beating the snot out of everyone in a Barney helmet, and they were CAUSING the turnovers and influencing the bad decisions? FAR-VUH could have walked for a 5 yard gain on that last throw, but he DIDN'T? Instead, he chose to make a throw across his body to a receiver that was covered. Why? Probably because he didn't want to get slobberknocked again!
Getting hit is part of the game.
I understand and I am not whining. Before the game was even played, your DC said they would go after Favre. So despite multiple efforts to knock him out of the game, he kept on playing. Tell me to stuff, call it crap, call me a whiner, whatever Gard....you know deep down that is not the way the game is played.
You have said on multiple occasions in this very thread, and provided video highlights, to indicate Favre gave away multiple games, including last years NFCCG. If anything, that comment alone is an insult to the teams that won the games. Summarizing your comments......the Saints did not win the game, Favre gave it to them with a bad decision.
