...I'm guessin' it'll happen sooner than later. The dude is askin' for it, IMO...after the whuppin' he took in the NFCCG, I'm surprised he'd want to return to the 'Dome - if anything the Saints IMPROVED their D-line in the offseason...he can't think they won't do essentially the same thing to him this game: beat him like a bass drum at a Slayer concert...

...and with the O-Line they have in Minnesota, well...with his lack of mobility, not a good thing. If he's smart, he'll retire.

However, this is Brent FAR-VUH we're talking about, and smart is a long way from him. ;) Ray got it right: He ain't all there...

Wouldn't it make sense to at least take some snaps with the first team to make sure your timing is down? And all this retirement crap is a team distraction. It's no less a distraction than a marquee player who gets arrested off the field. Aside from all this, there's 13 million reasons why he should be at camp.

But instead of just saying, I'm going to rehab at home and skip camp, he does this retirement drama. And we just eat this crap up. The storyline is still the same. Favre is going to play, but he's not showing up at camp.

Just found this thread and it is quite entertaining; way more fun than sending out statements to slow-paying customers.

Farve must be jeaolus of Lady Gaga and is trying (once again) to grab the front page. Enough already.

Rumors, just rumors - he's coming back. It's a way of getting around contractual and League commitments with the NFL office so he doesn't have to play before the first game. One of the last loop holes left in the NFL for stars to protect themselves duiring training camp and the rediculous pre-season. Farve is special and if you don't believe it look at how he's been treated over the last five years.

As ESPN quoted: the NFL hates it, the GMs hate it, the players hate it, the fans are indifferent - but in the end everyone will welcome him back!

He's a douchebag - as Jive pointed out, he jumped all over a teammate a few years ago for pulling EXACTLY what FAR-VUH has pulled the past 2 seasons.

I have zero respect for him, and never have since he was in high school - his actions are not new, he was infamous in southern MS/southeast LA for being a complete turd of a human being. Then, because he can throw a football, he got cannonized (pun intended ;) ) by first the NCAA then the NFL. They hid his true colors behind puff-piece journalism and bro-love commentary, but eventually, as we're seeing now, the truth comes out.

I was speaking only of individuals.

Drew is truly a classy guy, from everyone I have contact with in NOLA, my former home. I have friends that live in his neighborhood - that's right he just lives in an ungated neighborhood in the city of New Orleans - they tell me that he always has 5 minutes to say hi to you, waves as you walk or drive by and he's in his yard, etc.

The organization, the team, has some issues, but they're pretty minor in the scheme of things, and overall they're pretty much on the up & up. Don't take that whole Vicodin/Santorini thing too seriously, in the end what that was all about was an angry fired ex-employee trying to shake down their former employer more than anything else.
