Brett Favre Retires

ROFL!!!!

....look man, I LOVE me some college football, but they're all overpaid prima donnas as well! They just LIE about it...

Why did you not point out Toaster's grammatical error there G?

(It's cuz You have to attack me any way you can, for I(and the Cowboys) are otherwise worthy adversaries).

:D

God Bless, Ray

...you just keep livin' in the past, I'm going to worry about the future, and where we're putting #2...

Well, you might as well get over your hard on for Brees and change your avatar. That is in the past as well.

You and I both will be dead and gone by the time the Saints are sniffing around #5 if they even get that far. Oh wait, you have Patrick Ramsey backing up Brees. He'll surely lead them to another two or three SB's right? After all, he was a #1 draft pick so he must be great. :D :D

I'm not going to discuss with you on Ben, or Favre, or whoever else you don't like. It's pretty clear when you don't like a guy, it's a no holds barred for whatever you want to say about him.

-Mike

Nope, he is not a rapist.

But I do have to deal with where to keep all SIX of these Super Bowl trophies.

-Mike

After one off field incident and he can claim innocence, two and he can claim coincidence, but with three bouts of of field problems... We have this old saying. If it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck and swims like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

I would like to share some hypocritical comments from Favre regarding Javon Walker not showing up to camp.

“If Javon wants to know what he quarterback thinks, and I would think he might, I’d tell him he’s going about this the wrong way,” Favre told the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “When his agent tells him not to worry about what his teammates think and all that stuff, I’d tell him I’ve been around a long time and that stuff will come back to haunt you"
Like not knowing the timing of your receivers in the most crucial play of the playoffs

"Nowadays you're seeing more and more guys pulling that stunt," Favre said. "If guys continue to do that and are successful getting away with it, then I'll be gone, but I think the game will be ruined. My reaction to Javon's situation was, 'Here we go again.'

But he ain't gone, and now once more with Favre, we're saying "here we go again"

"Javon has tremendous potential. We got to see some of that last year. The sky's the limit for that guy, and I'd be the first to defend him, but he's going about it the wrong way. What happened to honoring your contract and saying, 'Let's work as a team to see if we can get this done?' Why not go about it that way?
"Maybe I'm old-school, but I always thought you honor a contract. Sure, sometimes guys pass you up in salary, and maybe it's a lesser player, but it's all based on what a team has as far as value in that person. "I sure hope the Packers don't give into him," Favre said.

Luckily for Favre, the Vikings are willing to give into him.

What does Javon Walker holding out for more money have to do with these latest rumors of Favre retiring?

You hate Favre, we get it. But don't let that hatred make you act more foolish than you think he is.

The difference is that Farve isn't holding out for money, nor is he refusing to show up because of some ridiculous reason. That would actually be hypocrisy. He is healing and trying to recover from surgery, and putting a ton of stress on any surgically prepared limb doesn't bode well for an athlete regardless of sport.

Neither player was at training camp, yet Favre criticized Walker for not being at camp. Oddly, Vikings offered an additional $3 mil if Favre plays.

Most injured players that are on a roster show up at camp whether they practice or not. He doesn't have to take part in scrimmages, as it would be foolish for an injured guy to do. But, he could throw on the sidelines to his receivers on the Vikings instead of some high school kids in Hattiesburg. He could still go over the playbook with his coaches and team-mates. He could do some strengthening exercises and limber up on the sideline. He could watch film. Favre is probably the only diva out there that gets away with this. And, he's supposed to be a leader and an example.

Favre is recovering from a serious ankle injury that has his career in doubt, that much we know for sure. The rest is speculation which all you haters are feeding on like sharks.

Kudos to the other Favre haters who have the self control to make your comment and be done with it.

That's a photo of him throwing the football around to high schoolers in Hattiesburg recently.
