Drew is truly a classy guy, from everyone I have contact with in NOLA, my former home. I have friends that live in his neighborhood - that's right he just lives in an ungated neighborhood in the city of New Orleans - they tell me that he always has 5 minutes to say hi to you, waves as you walk or drive by and he's in his yard, etc.

The organization, the team, has some issues, but they're pretty minor in the scheme of things, and overall they're pretty much on the up & up. Don't take that whole Vicodin/Santorini thing too seriously, in the end what that was all about was an angry fired ex-employee trying to shake down their former employer more than anything else.

I'm not referring to the reports he is playing catch with some high schoolers. Favre hasn't said a word as far as we all know, but that hasn't stopped people from running on these tangents about how he retired, and then changed his mind recently.

This whole thread is a bunch of people speculating on something that was never said in the first place.

I think so. But hey...wouldn't it be the coolest thing ever for you guys to collect #6 on your home field? Even cooler if you beat us to get it? Not that I would ever want to lose a SB game, but I somehow wouldn't be as upset if it went down like that this season. I mean, how could I be? Seeing someone win the SB on their home turf would be way cool.

To be honest with ya Mike, I've had a "suspicion" that the league would like to see that too. I dunno if it'll come to fruition but as a Cowboys fan I see the mass benefit the league would look to achieve.

Reguardless of Jerry Jones' ego the Cowboys DO have the premier sports facility anywhere.(right now)

No team has ever played in or won a SB in their own house.

AND The Cowboys/Steelers thing goes WAY back to the 70's.

IF FARVUH STAYS "RETIRED" there's no Cinderella story there. I see Dallas being pitted against the Saints in the NFC. The AFC is a mystery with lotsa different maybes there.

But, he could throw on the sidelines to his receivers on the Vikings instead of some high school kids in Hattiesburg. He could still go over the playbook with his coaches and team-mates. He could do some strengthening exercises and limber up on the sideline. He could watch film. Favre is probably the only diva out there that gets away with this. And, he's supposed to be a leader and an example.

IMO, he should be at training camp because until he's retired or released, he's still a part of the team. Teams should start suspending and fining players that don't show up to camp, injured or not.

I'm starting to hate the offseason; this whole "such-and-such player is holding out, this guy feels disrespected because another guy on another team is making more money than him, that guy refuses to play for his team and wants to force a trade" is getting real old. Even with me being Mr. "Well how would you feel if you were in his shoes," I still can't see myself being one of those guys. Then again, I can't see myself being a good enough athlete to make money at it, either, so there you go.

I just can't wait for the actual football season to start! I saw some signs of promise from my guys last year; looking forward to seeing some inspired football by at least some of the players.
