Double Bass Bridge Moved

All basses have slightly different scale lengths, or mensure. Traditionally, the middle of the bridge feet are placed on a line extending between the interior points of the "f" holes.

Actually I just got my first bass... the luthier set the action to slightly lower than their standard height... I was trying to lower it a touch more and the bridge shifted a tiny amount up.
what would be the appropriate way to shift it back? It only moved like a fraction of a millimeter (I can see the indent where it shifted from) ... or should I just leave it... I haven't noticed a change in sound

Well the D harmonic on the G string is about a semi tone too close to the nut. That is my hand hits an Eb when I hit the heel and maintain correct hand position. I was TOLD that I had a D neck bass. Maybe it is an Eb neck. If that is the case, I'll just add a small piece of rubber near the heel to correct it.

Put your thumb on the heel and your index finger directly across from it on the G string. D or Eb, or...?
