Hi Guys,

I have one of the 04-05 model Aerodyne Jazz Basses and I was wondering what bridges (besides Fender stock) would work in the socket without having to do much in the way of modding the bass. The Fender stock bridge is fine, I'm just not a fan on the pre-aged chrome look and what to replace all the hardware with Chrome (shiny). Just wondering what my options are.

Is your bridge recessed into the body? Some Aerodyne bridges were recessed and others weren't. If yours just sits on top of the body virtually any 5 screw bridge will fit including the standard vintage Fender, BadAss II, Hipshot A, etc.

If it's recessed you will have a tough time finding a bridge with a thick enough baseplate and the 5 hole mounting. In that case it may be worth having a shim made so the bridge can sit flush.
