Brief word on the Genz - Benz "Shuttle"

All that hinges on believing the post above. But Fender didn't buy Genz Benz...KMC bought Genz Benz, and the whole of KMC was sold to Fender as a package deal. I believe the rep that JMic talked to probably said that, but gear reps are not usually privy to boardroom decisions in huge companies. Also, if it was all about selling excess inventory, then there would have been no new products from Genz Benz while Fender owned them, and there were plenty. So while I'm not saying it's untrue (I would have no way of knowing), seems like a lot of holes in that story.

Ouch! talk about pulling out the big guns!

Well, I just hope they stick to high quality stuff... last thing we need is another Behrengeresq China import crappy brand or another Fender rumble..

I ended up buying this Shuttle 3.0 as a backup and travel amp... even used it cost more than the Rumble, but was worth it.

I have to say that I loved my Ampeg 7 Pro but sold it because I like my used ShuttleMax 9.2 more.
I doubt I will ever sell my SVT-CL or this GB amp; they are both that good.

Nothing would be better than having the original vibe, customer service, design, and quality manufacturing back.
It couldn't have been that profitable to the new owners if they chose to let it die.

Here's to hoping that Jeff and Andy made a HUGE pile of cash on the sale!

I really hope that if there is a resurrection that as many previous players as possible are involved. I posted earlier that I'd be wary that something like what happened with Acoustic and GC might happen, but I'm crossing my fingers that won't be the case.
I'll derail for just a second here... Heeeey, potential maybe might happen GB guys: could we get a bass head with something like 80-100 @ 8 ohm and 160-200 at 4 ohm? The high powered stuff is great, thanks and all; but just because an amp doesn't have a boatload of power does it always need to be a combo? The Shuttle combos with the thumb screws was great. IIRC there's still nobody that has a combo with an easily removable amp. I use my two 10t cabs, but I use the head more by itself, and really never need more than the 3.0 at 8 ohm. I can't be the only one. Lok at the popularity of the MB200 and Rumble 150...

I know where you can get a brand new 1288 and probably for a deal as it's been sitting in the store for a long time. No one around here buys hi calibre stuff.
