Don't get too carried away:

Ehh this is like people usually do with anything subculture-oriented...they just take the most outlandish case, that was probably that way to begin with, and use it to label any fans as nutjobs. If I was one of those people that doesn't have enough self-confidence to like what I like and not be a social tool that sheeps my way to what's popular, I'd have to give up way too many things that are awesome. Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, RPGs, Batman (the comics), Big Bang Theory, and of course MLP: Friendship is Magic would all be things I'd have to run away from like the plague. So far I like what I like, have plenty of friends who respect or share my taste in such things, and can't say I've ever had girls run the other direction when they've heard I like this stuff. I have the feeling that our "Exhibit A" up there had problems long before he donned the MLP shirt

This can be done for anything, especially the bass guitar which we all love so very dearly. Failed guitarists with no concept of theory at all? Give me a break :smug:

Actually, the shirt is a photochop. The meme picture has been around for years and is usually used as an example of an anti-social person who shops at Hot Topic.

More on topic, the article posted said that a fan favorite villian will be appearing in the new season. I wonder if this villian is "great and powerful."

not gonna lie, even though I've found some shirts that I liked - pony related or otherwise - I'm still leery about buying anything at hot topic, or even being in there for longer than five minutes.

That being said, given that the last season wasn't as good as the first one, I was thinking of not watching the upcoming season, but as the date gets closer I find myself getting more and more excited. I think if I can wake up early enough, I might actually go.

Guys, I have to say that I don't really get this whole brony thing, nor do I get the star trek thing or the star wars thing, but whatever.

That's not why I'm here. You all probably know this but there is this girl named Ashleigh Ball who plays in a band called Hey Ocean. They're from Vancouver, Canada. I've been a fan of the band for few years now, seen them and met them a couple of times. Ashleigh is an absolute sweetheart. This is the part you already might know, shes the voice of applejack and rainbow dash. She gets a lot of men wearing MLP sweaters and bringing ponies to get signed to her shows. They usually know nothing about the band.

Since you're all musical folk, here are a couple of links of a couple of the bands vids. Have a listen, they're awesome.

Yup, seen 'em :)

It was pretty meh plot-wise (pun intended), but it had some awesome moments. I particularly enjoyed Rarity's 3 pieces of hay and a drinking straw hat. :D It was great seeing Spike get to step up. And Pinkie definitely is not a horn player.

Anyone see this? ;)

AND I FINALLY GET A SCOOTALOO EPISODE.

That is all.

I thought that for an animated show written to appeal to a six year old girl, it was pretty good.

Can't wait for the next one. :)

Fair enough, but I'm comparing this to the previous episodes we've seen and the standards set by them. I feel they could do better...it all just seemed rather rushed and not up to par with their usual stuff. I could understand having some meh episodes during the body of the season, but an opener should have been stronger than that one....WAY stronger.

Just felt pretty let down :(
