Broughton Audio Super Thread

Oh man, I'm going to be racking up the demerit points like crazy... I really like the SV Boost, way more than the SV Pre. Even at 8:00 the thing cuts. In some rooms it's just what you need. And it sounds SO good driving a Synth Voice. Everything y'all are saying leads me to believe that I'm going to really like the FT Boost... if it ever arrives...

Everyone’s set up is different. If I dial in any boost at all with it it’s already too much.

"Cuts" is a great way to describe the FT Boost. Even if you can't get a ton of additional volume out of it, you don't really need to. But it's there if you need it. I have no doubt the thing could push a power amp on its own (but would sound lousy . . . but loud . . . if it did). At 8:00-9:00, it's just enough. And after the SVPre (with the low switch to the left and mids dimed, because this is the way), it helps to reign in the bloomy tight end of the SVP and really makes it cut more.

try it into the archetype.

Might have to stop at the Filter FX if I’m lucky enough to get one cause I’m getting overwhelmed here. At some point you’ve got to start over. Re evaluate what’s actually happening instead of just heaping more pedals on the pile thinking it’s going to give you what you want. I reached this point a long time ago. I need one of you super techs to pay me a visit.
