I remember. I was always thought I’d never have a practical use for it but for 2 bills I’d definitely try.

I'm not sure but I think I received a limited edition version! Did anyone else get a ZZTOP boost instead of a regular old run-of-the-mill version?

Yes. I don’t use the cab sim much. Just some eq and some dirt. The FTB into FT is very useful.

Seriously - I think the delivery moose in this area hang out in the brush by the pond near the hockey arena. Rural moose... moves to the big city to find fortune... ends up in a dead-end job... gets in with the wrong crowd... it's a sad cautionary tale.

I feel like the Fliptop boost does what those 2020 transformer based pedals are supposed to do. Only better. I really like it a lot. Adds some heft and authority. Works really well in front of the solarian.

I did open up the Fliptop to take a peak and I’m not modding mine.

One I don’t feel like it needs it and two I’m lazy and don’t want to have to desolder those caterpillar style jacks to get everything out.

At band rehearsal we do everything with IEM and most of my practice at home that way and it's perfect. I have the FT set with the bass dimed, treble 4 o'clock, gain about 1 o'clock cab at 11 o'clock. When I used those settings live it was muddy and extremely boomy. I turned the bass down, messed with the cab sim and couldn't get anything dialed in. I have to mess with it more but thinking the boost without the eq could be more useful for me.
