@Johno Dunn ... we may be fickle, but we couldn't ask for better company. This thread has some of the coolest people I have spoken to in a while ( yourself included). I have learned a bunch and I now realize what crushed dreams I now haveThat's exactly what @kranahan said when he got the Messenger! Boy, we are a fickle bunch! LOL
anyone ever string a 4 string bass BEAD
Yup. I had my Geddy Lee jazz set up this way for about a year. It worked just fine, but I was surprised by how much I missed the high G string so eventually I bought a 5 string for that band and put the Ged back to standard tuning.anyone ever string a 4 string bass BEAD
believe it
Oh. Well. Good your busy. Never hunted esox’s myself. I think. Are they pedals that bite solid gold spinner bait?
This is an esox... esox masquinongy to be precise... or muskellunge (muskie, musky, etc...). Not to be confused with esox lucious (pike).

So I have an "unused" Sb that I may be posting soon in hopes of getting an apex or fuzz. "unused" means I opened the white box, took it out of the sleeve, but never put anything in either one of the jacks. Posting will be this evening when I can take pics.....

Yep, back in the long long ago, I played with a 7 string guitar player, and only had 4 strings at the time.anyone ever string a 4 string bass BEAD
If you aren’t playing chords and don’t need the extra low notes all the time, why not use an octave pedal and play a bit higher up with the dry rolled off? I hear Josh has made a few octave pedals.anyone ever string a 4 string bass BEAD

Yup, it's a Squier Pbass and sounds phenomenal.
Any problems with the nut? assuming someone went back to standard?Yep, back in the long long ago, I played with a 7 string guitar player, and only had 4 strings at the time.
Yes, a good group of folks. Never a discussion of picks versus fingers, how many strings that Jaco guy needed, or what Bro Toan is best for medal! Breakfast food and meeses on occasion. I spend the majority of my TB time here, the compressor thread, and the Sushi Box thread. Oh and the FX Classifieds searching for Bro Toanes and Toobes!@Johno Dunn ... we may be fickle, but we couldn't ask for better company. Nope. I had the nut on my Geddy filed for larger strings a decade ago (by a local pro) and it’s been back in standard tuning for years now with no issues with the modified nut.Any problems with the nut? assuming someone went back to standard?
