So the plot thickens. I figured out the noise today was coming from the S1 XLR, so Ground Lift to the rescue. Turned GL on and dead quiet, so I'm happy about that. (@JeffTCS and his dibs are not). It is a little weird because I've never needed the GL at my rehearsal space before, but if that solves the issue that is good.
But that doesn't explain why it was noisy thru the Messenger & headphones yesterday. More experimentation awaits when I return to the Bat Cave.

Noise with headphones is often caused by a lack of grounding. Just to verify that is the issue, try plugging your board into an amp and see if the headphone noise goes away.So the plot thickens. That's what I am hoping for, but once a year it's not likelyI'd like another run of Quicksilvers and another run of Studio Ones.
That said, having an SSDI is enough. That's the one Broughton that is a never sell.
