Gotta admit, the Glass Beams 'mysterioso-mask' schtick turns me off the way the Khruangbin wigs did/do. I can appreciate when a band puts time/effort into their stage show and production, but those things just scream gimmick whenever I see them. Both solid bands, though...no knocks there.

Yeah I think it is essentially a schtick. Slipknot esc but they can't look that crazy for the genre lol. I can get down with say Rammstein (not really masks though) and Gwar just because they themselves are more extreme in ways

Nice score! Since you mentioned the skinny string guitar, which Broughton pedals do you find work best on the gee-tar? I recently picked up an Ibby semi-hollow and am having fun with it.

They are all awesome dudes. Side note if you haven't ever heard of Oceans Ate Alaska they are in a similar strain to Periphery but a bit heavier. However their drummer Chris Turner is an absolute beast, and even crazier he doesn't trigger his drums.
