Question to y'all waiting in anticipation for tomorrow's drop. How much do you look forward to that adrenaline spike when you get notified (or when your F5 efforts pay off)? Landing a pedal here is a mix of luck and technique. I wonder if we can draw a parallel with gaming/gambling addiction... Just wondering if I'm the only one at risk here

Don't sleep on the Edison, it stood toe-to-toe with my favorite Valve Champ settings. It is a great bit of kit

I also give the Edison my vote of approval. I’m using the Nightowl Parallelum, which has the Edison circuit + some extras, and it’s never leaving my board.

My main bass subbing gig has now turned into a full-fledged-member-of-the-band guitar gig for me, so I'm sitting this one out since I'm gearing up to try and do that justice.

In lieu of F5ing tonight, I went for the three drink minimum last night before hitting Reverb and picked up some super cheap Epiphone black/cream zebra humbuckers for this thrift store beauty. The black P90s certainly look the part but the hum is untenable, and those pickups are worth 2x as much as the guitar. lol

I have ended up basing m sound around the Parabellum. Combined with my LA1A I get such great toobitude that I ended up selling all my super high end Tube DIs and use just a passive Radial. I think it has something to do with the pentode tube in the Edison circuit. My old favorite was the Sonic Farm 2id4 in pentode mode.

Nice score! Since you mentioned the skinny string guitar, which Broughton pedals do you find work best on the gee-tar? I recently picked up an Ibby semi-hollow and am having fun with it.

The Locust Star is great on guitar. Best Rat flavored pedal I have ever used.

No Broughtons on my guitar board presently, but I'm still figuring out what's gonna work and what doesn't. From what I've got on hand, I should probably try the Solarian. Maybe Azure Drive and Scorpion while I'm at it.

Locust Star would be a good pick if I still had it.
Sentinel too for searing high gain tones.
Helion sounded good from what I remember, too.
I liked my old Bugcaster better on guitar than I ever did on bass, so presumably Valve Champ would be similar.
Monocle comp was great on guitar.
I'll be watching for that new analog phaser...
And I used to bug Josh from time to time about doing a Broughton take on the OCD circuit... that would do it.

Is it known what range the Omnicomp has for attack time?


As in, the Markbass Compressore says 2-50 ms.
