Same here. Too busy prepping for an abundance of gigs these last few weeks. Which is a great problem to have, but more utilitarian work than it is fun.

Weiner dogs. Set up a track that has them chasing a hot dog pulled on a monofilament like the rabbit in the greyhound races. Think of the Blur Album cover, except with dachshunds. Muzzle them for effect. Sell hot dogs, lemonade, lay odds, set up a pari mutual return, nobody gets hurt.
The real money is in the lemonade. You can make lemonade for pennies. Give someone a hot dog with no beer, nothing else to drink, that lemonade looks pretty good. Charge $3.99 for something that cost $.39, that adds up.

Don’t even think you can cool that off with anything less than a dedicated AC unit if you plan to spend any time there, like a man cave. I have a buddy who has a 20x30 garage with window units. I tried to tell him… Do a heat load before you sign off. Gorilla actually has a degree in HVAC. Heat isn’t a problem in your zone, but you’re looking at ambient temps even with fans in summer. Hear me now, believe me later. No window units. The bulk of your work will be under hot, humid conditions. You’ll be squeezing out your sweat from your headband in a free standing asphalt shingled shed, let alone something that big.
I bought a 240 DL wagon new in 1988. 4 cylinder, 110 hp. Pretty good car, maintenance wise. Manual shift. The a/c was always weak (I live in Florida), but the thing that did it in after 24 years was the a/c blower motor failing. The specialized service shop wanted a ton of money to replace it. I got the impression that the car is built around the blower motor; like, the motor comes down the assembly line, suspended, first and the rest of the car is built around it.
Bought a new 2012 RAV4. Still have it. Great car.
I spend a lot of my money on travel and recording equipment.
My wife has a remarkable talent for killing vacuums so years ago I decided to take over that chore.
It smells like burning hair. The motor sounds like it is under water. It no longer works.
I can’t fight it, tho. She is vacuuming. I was content with looking out the window.
That Miele Teutonic engineering may have been outsourced, though. As I live and breathe, it may be a possibility.

Because of my knee injury, I'm still not playing golf (and won't be for several more months). Therefore, I've had far too much time on my hands to drool over new gear for bass and golf. So as soon as I can get my game back, I'm going to replace my Driver, 3W and Hybrid. And I'm lusting after a Mike Lull short scale too.
If you build it they will smoke.
Just being curious and nosy, what are you guys saving up for? can be any gear music related or not. i had to ask cuz just like some of the good people here, we all have other different hobbies aside from music, music gear and the like. so being a music gear enthusiast what other things make you “broke” sorry for the term but thats me right now deciding on what hobby im gonna save up for next
Closing on a new house tomorrow morning. All my money. That new Wilcock BiSonic is now even further away.
This S300 preamp is definitely ticking some boxes for me. Love that it is a preorder system, I'm not quite ready to purchase but given my track record almost certainly will at some point in the near future.
Paying off debt, and the Mrs and I are going to Peru in November.
His wife is a full partner in the business. I dunno if he has some part-time employees as well, but it wouldn't surprise me given the rate of production of late.
Other than the typical kids stuff we're saving for, the next big expense on my horizon is a locally served computer rig to run my own LLMs. Seeing as how we can't avoid AI, I gonna try to colonize my own corner of it.
Heading out across the Sound for a couple of days of rehearsing (and jamming) for the recording project I’m helping out with. I love a ferry ride.

Since moving to his new Home/ Shop drops have been larger more plentiful and increased number of new pedals. I think all Broughs appreciate this. I haven't been inclined to attempt to get many but I've had pretty good luck thus far. Typically I used PayPal pay in 4 but since it's not being used currently I am more selective and if I need to my bank offers pay in 4. So all good if need be. Only pedal I really wanted but didn't get was the last Studio One drop lack of funds for fun prevented that not the drop. All and all I've accepted I will have to set my alarm at 3:40 AM and keep checking until 4:15 AM.
@darkhalf My fun money expenditure list top of the list a New Amp & Cab Mesa BD800 & Genzler NC-212T. Also Ibanez MDM1305 5 string Jazz bass looks very promising. Pedals potentially starting a small 4 or 5 pedalboard but this won't happen until I get my new rig.
I owe my daughter a really good weekend/local vacation.
But real life situations dealing with my 90 almost 91 year old father-in-law personal care tops all priorities currently. Just trying to make my wife's responsibilities less impact full. He's a great guy so he deserves everything we're doing for him no matter how it impacts us. Just a temporary problem but its not been simple or easy to deal with or handle.

For the last little while, preamps, preamps and more preamps.
