Bruno mars on SNL

Anyone see this performance on 10/15? Mainly the second song. The bassist's tone was mind blowing. Fender jazz V and it sounded like a light hint of a sub octave effect.

Anyways, any thoughts how he got that glorious tone and sound? Thanks!

Usually his band (the hooligans) always plays live. His band is amazing live they have plenty of live footage on YouTube. The bass player by the way started out as a rapper on show MTV had years back. He seems to have done better for himself playing. He's a great bass player.
